Description
Holy Family Catholic High School seeks a mission-driven, highly organized Activities Director to lead and coordinate all student activities, co-curricular programs, and extracurricular leadership initiatives. This role provides leadership, support, and professional development for the school’s coaching staff and activity advisors, ensuring all programs reflect the values and mission of Holy Family Catholic High School.
The Activities Director plays a vital role in fostering a vibrant, faith-centered student life culture that promotes engagement, leadership, sportsmanship, and community.
About the Role
The Activities Director oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student activities and extracurricular programs, while ensuring alignment with Catholic identity, school traditions, and student development goals. This position collaborates closely with school leadership, faculty, coaches, families, and community partners to create meaningful and well-run programs that enrich the student experience.
Key Responsibilities
Student Activities & Leadership
- Develop, oversee, and evaluate a comprehensive student activities program that fosters leadership, service, engagement, and school spirit.
- Support student clubs and organizations by guiding faculty advisors, assisting with budgets, and ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate club moderators and activity advisors.
Coaching Oversight & Program Development
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support for all coaches to ensure programs align with school mission, athletic policies, and student development goals.
- Oversee coach onboarding, ongoing training, and performance evaluation including preseason one on one meetings and post season meetings.
- Foster a positive culture across extracurricular programs, emphasizing sportsmanship, character formation, and student well-being.
- Ensure compliance with school, conference, and state association policies and procedures.
- Assist in the recruitment of qualified coaches who support the school’s Catholic mission and student-centered approach.
Communications & Community Engagement
- Communicate student activity and extracurricular information through newsletters, announcements, and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with the Marketing/Communications team to highlight accomplishments and promote a strong sense of community.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, alumni, faculty, and community partners.
Budgeting & Administration
- Manage budgets for activities, clubs, and extracurricular programs, ensuring responsible stewardship of school resources. Communicating budgets to coaches and advisors.
- Maintain accurate records of club charters, student rosters, financial transactions, and compliance documentation.
- Oversee athletic & activity fundraising aligning with the advancement office and school initiatives.
Game Day Experience
- Creates a positive game day experience for coaches, student athletes and parents
- Works with the facilities team and the assistant AD to set-up, maintain, and clean up all activity events
- Provide supervision for all activities
- Hire and train announcers, event staff, game officials
School Culture & Mission Alignment
- Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and faith-centered environment consistent with the mission of Holy Family Catholic High School.
- Ensure all activities and extracurricular programs reflect Catholic identity and reinforce school traditions.
- Support student conduct expectations and model ethical, responsible behavior.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in education, leadership, or related field preferred.
- Experience in student activities, coaching, athletic leadership, or related school administration roles.
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Holy Family Catholic High School.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, advisors, and school leadership.
- Experience supervising staff or volunteers preferred.
Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000
