Director of Music

The Director of Music would serve in a primary way as accompanist (organ and/or piano) and plan music for weekend, Holy Day, and other special occasion Masses at St. Mathias in Hampton and St. John the Baptist in Vermillion, while serving as a resource for St. Mary in New Trier.  Person would also plan and accompany weekly School Mass in Vermillion, beside establish, rehearse, and direct Sunday Choir in Vermillion.  Person would develop, direct, and schedule cantors for Hampton and Vermillion.  Beside this Base of Representative Responsibilities, it is expandable with Additional Opportunities based on candidate's desire but built to promote a fair and living wage for a position in a rural area.  Additional Opportunities are outlined in the job description.

Candidate should have some experience of planning appropriate liturgical music and accompanying with piano/organ.  Candidate should be organized, good with volunteer recruitment and retention.
