Middle School Teacher: Religion OR Math

St. Odilia School is seeking a full-time, Middle School teacher to join our faculty and staff for the 26-27 academic year. This teacher would be responsible for teaching 6th and 7th grade Religion OR middle school math classes.

We are looking for a teacher who is excited to teach middle school students and bring a joy and love of learning to these young adolescents. The ideal candidate will have excellent classroom management and be able to motivate students toward academic excellence.  This new faculty member will be committed to advancing the mission of St. Odilia School by:

• Contribute to the school's faith community by modeling and actively participating in the school's faith life.
• Maintain a prayerful environment in your classroom and during prayer.
• Providing an environment where students are engaged and seek to understand math (or religion) and want to continually show effort to improve and do well.
• Participating as a member of our community in workshops, staff development opportunities, and committee responsibilities.

• BA or BS Degree, Current MN Teaching License to correspond with courses taught.
• Exhibit competence in instructional methods and knowledge of subject matter being taught.
• Demonstrate evidence of good classroom management techniques.
• Develop and maintain a positive rapport and relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience with technology in the classroom, SMARTBoard, iPad, Macbook.
• Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with school, students, staff, and parents.
