Part-Time Rectory Cook

Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

To provide food preparation services to the pastor.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

*TO BE PRESENT WHERE NEEDED AND READY TO WORK AS NEEDED TO MEET RESPONSIBILITIES. Includes working independently on routine and regular responsibilities, recognizing when situations require more effort or assistance, satisfying responsibilities in a timely manner, and generally ensuring all is ready and taken care of.

*PROVIDE FOOD PREPARATION SERVICES FOR THE PASTOR. May also include small special events when requested. Will require ability to shop for and bring food supplies to the rectory. Also involves basic clean up. Typical schedule is Tuesday-Saturday from 3PM-6PM.

MENTAL DEMANDS: ability to work while being interrupted. Ability to work without supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: occasional lifting of supplies of up to 25 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS: high school diploma or equivalent, suitable work experience. Reliable transportation for grocery shopping.
