Description

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is looking for a full time Physical Education and Health Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

As a Physical Education Teacher for grades Kindergarten through 8th, your primary role is to design and deliver physical education programs that foster the development of students' physical fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. In addition,  create a positive and supportive environment where students can engage in a variety of physical activities and learn the importance of leading an active and healthy lifestyle. Teaching middle school health class is also a component of this position.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an actively practicing Catholic.
  • Licensed teacher for physical education in Minnesota. An endorsement to teach health is not necessary but preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and pedagogical strategies for teaching physical education to K-8 students
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Passion for promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits among students
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation in physical activities.
  • Once hired, complete or have completed the Essential 3 Safe Environment requirements of the Archdiocese.
