Full-Time Parish Business Administrator

Job Description

Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine is seeking a faithful and highly skilled Parish Business Administrator.  This critical position requires both strategic and effective leadership to ensure financial and operational processes support the mission of the parish community. This individual will oversee the finances, day-to-day operations, facilities and property management, office services and human resources of the parish community, in a manner guided by the parish mission.  This position also oversees fundraising, stewardship, capital campaigns and long range planning in collaboration with the Pastor and parish leadership.

The mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe parish and shrine is to lead its faithful, especially Latinos, to friendship with Jesus, through Mary, the Morenita, in the heart of the Catholic Church.  By offering a beautiful space, transcendent liturgy, regular confession and Christian friendship the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe desires to form a new generation of disciples and disciple-makers to announce the good news of the Gospel to the many poor people of the world who do not know the Savior.

Similar to our Mission Statement, the purpose of the shrine is twofold. The first is give a home to the growing number of Latinos, though culturally Catholic, not well evangelized and steadily leaving the Catholic Church.  The tender devotion so many Mexicans have for Our Lady of Guadalupe is in itself good and also a natural place to meet them and lead them to a full Christian life.  The purpose is to offer a beautiful space to meet their Mother, and through her, meet Jesus Christ. The second is to be a place of pilgrimage for the all Catholics of the Twin Cities, so that by loving Mary, we may better serve Christ.

Job Qualifications: Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Focus in finance or accounting is preferred. Extensive experience in fields of financial management, property management and human resources. Training and experience in accounting, bookkeeping and payroll. Adequate knowledge of stewardship, fundraising and marketing. Supervisory and management experience, including both paid staff and volunteers. Expertise in related computer programs and software. Practicing Catholic. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!
