Director of Marketing and Communications  //  Church of St. Stephen

POSITION SUMMARY

Develops a strong marketing and communications strategy that promotes the Church of St. Stephen and St. Stephen’s Catholic School brand on all available platforms. Works with administrative team to develop and effectively communicate church-wide resources and brand materials.

ROLES AND RESPONIBILITIES

  • Creates, manages, and evaluates marketing plans for St. Stephen’s church and school
  • Develops and executes overarching strategy for social media (Instagram and Facebook), as well as specialized strategies for individual campaigns
  • Works with database analytics to maintain accurate demographics of St. Stephen’s Church and School attendees with attention to future growth
  • Actively assess and collaborate with other staff to maintain a consistent church brand
  • Create, publish, manage, and optimize advertisement material to the church website, the church bulletin, and school media; includes subsequent maintenance and updates
  • Crafts comprehensive, church-wide marketing and communications strategies and standards, in collaboration with administrative and development staff
  • Writes, edits, and develops marketing content to be posted through social media, church and school websites, church, school and outside monitors, and mailings
  • Builds relationships with other church ministries and staff to facilitate the production of marketing strategies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Education focus in marketing, strategic communications, or equivalent field preferred
  • Works to promote the core belief of St. Stephen’s Church: to seek, love, and serve Jesus Christ
  • Highly rational, strategic, and forward-thinking
  • Passionate about working toward progress and forward momentum
  • Innovative and creative with a heart for using their skills to help people find a home in this church
