Full-Time Director of Maintenance and Facilities
Oversee and monitor the maintenance of the physical plant and grounds.
Job Qualifications: Perform the maintenance and monitoring of the physical plant Oversee and participate in the maintenance of the grounds Perform equipment maintenance (scrubber, extractor, vacuums) Maintain inventory of custodial supplies, maintenance supplies Oversee and participate in building set-ups Supervise custodial staff, contracted maintenance, and cleaning service Oversee landscape and snow plow vendors Work with vendors to secure the best prices for product and services Oversee HVAC maintenance with vendor on seasonal start up and shut down First contact for alarm and security panel calls Respond to maintenance requests from tenant Oversee summer cleaning of tenant public spaces (hallways, restrooms, cafeteria and gym) Be knowledgeable of current updates with laws, products, and services Work with Parish Business Administrator on contracted services and purchasing. Responsible to work with Parish Administrator to develop the Buildings and Grounds budget for the coming year and to monitor that budget throughout the fiscal year. To project expenses for upcoming facilities needs and or projects. To be present, on time and ready to work as needed to meet job responsibilities. Regularly attend staff meetings • Possess the skills to supervise full-time and part-time custodians - Spanish a plus. • Knowledge of cleaning materials and chemicals, safe use of all materials. • Ability to keep calm in chaotic situations. • Ability to maintain positive working communications with other parish staff members. • Maintain MSDS (SDS) records for building chemicals • Ability to keep confidentiality. • Current Class 2-C Boiler License • Successfully pass the pre-employment physical. • Ability to work 40 + hours per week. • Good working techniques in lifting, pushing, pulling and other motions with back and arms over head level as required in excess of 50#. • Ability to lift heavy trash and objects overhead. • Ability to work (with caution and protective devices) around dust, cleaning chemicals, sanding, paint and stain odors. • Ability to work in seasonal temperatures extremes. • Working knowledge of pneumatic and building automation systems a plus. • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and HVAC principles • Understanding of ministry and the importance of welcome • Commitment to the mission of St. Pascal Baylon Parish • Appreciation and respect for the many and diverse people who visit and worship at our parish • Pass all background and security checks as required by the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Mpls.
