Full-Time Director of Enrollment Management

Job Description

Visitation School is seeking a Director of Enrollment Management. The Director is an integral part of the school’s administrative team and is responsible for overseeing all facets of the admissions process. The ideal candidate will have proven success in office management, strategic planning, and relationship building.

Visitation is an independent Catholic school with a culture permeated by Salesian Spirituality. We offer a unique combination of learning experiences with an infant Child Care Program, a coed Lower School (Montessori preschool through grade 5), an all-girls Middle School (grades 6-8) and an all-girls Upper School (grades 9-12). ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership in enrollment management, which includes short- and long-term strategic approaches to enrollment and communications
  • Direct the process of attracting, enrolling and retaining mission appropriate families
  • Build meaningful relationships with prospective and current families
  • Develop and implement effective processes and systems to ensure goals are met
  • Be a contributing member of the school’s administrative team and report directly to the Head of School
  • Communicate clearly and enthusiastically to all constituencies
  • Foster high ethical standards, integrity, collaboration, and respect for colleagues, alumni/ae, parents, and students throughout the enrollment process
  • Engage the school community in support of the enrollment and retention process
  • Formulate forward-thinking, strategic application, admission, and communication policies
  • Execute the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan (SEMP)
  • Work closely with the Director of Financial Aid and the business office.
  • Oversee enrollment management budgets
  • Understand the culture and climate of the school and the broader educational environment
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and communications internally and externally, including social media campaigns, website initiatives and revisions, and print ads
  • Oversee enrollment data and report relevant statistics and trends to the Board of Trustees and the administrative team
  • Assist in the admissions decision-making process as student applications are evaluated
  • Engage in the recruiting process by overseeing promotional events, campus tours, student interactions, and other admissions activities
  • Ensure the continued professional development of all members of the Enrollment Office
  • Build relationships and partnerships with local individuals and organizations to drive referrals and build community engagement
  • Represent Visitation publicly during student and parent visits, school fairs, Open Houses, and other information sessions both on- and off-campus including public speaking engagements and presentations

Job Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred - Three to five years of experience in an independent school setting, preferably in enrollment - Past management experience preferred - Marketing and communications experience preferred - Proven ability to foster and nurture meaningful relationships - Ability to think critically and creatively - Demonstrated leadership qualities - Outstanding oral and written communication skills - The ability to connect in meaningful ways to current and prospective families - Demonstrated success as a confident problem solver - Outstanding organizational and presentation skills
