Full-Time Business Administrator
Support the ministry of the Pastor and parish by overseeing the administration of the parish business functions to ensure consistency with the parish’s vision. Be a responsive administrative liaison between the Pastor and all staff, advisory councils, and commissions. Position responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, policies and procedures, human resources, payroll, risk management, and legal compliance. Also includes oversight of safe environment, office operations, fundraising, and facilities management.
Job Qualifications: BA or equivalent work experience, including budgeting, supervision and other business administration functions. Prior experience in business administration required (finance, human resources, property management, stewardship and fund raising). Understanding of Archdiocesan policies regarding human resources, financial controls, insurance requirements and reporting preferred. Ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check, Essential Three and credit report. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel, Internet and website literacy. Proficiency with accounting systems required; Parishsoft Family Suite and Accounting preferred. Experience with vendor relations and contract negotiation required. Understanding of financial management and reporting requirements, Physical Demands: Work 40 plus hours per week, and as necessary during high demand periods. Able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Able to lift up to 25 pounds (office materials etc.) using proper techniques. Able to participate in periodic evening and weekend meetings and events. Able to operate a keyboard in a safe and proficient manner. Mental Demands: Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision, but obtaining direction when needed. Ability to plan organize and meet deadlines and to manage multiple concurrent tasks. High level of organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with interruptions. Ability to conduct and oversee staff performance reviews and provide feedback in a positive and helpful manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead and interact effectively. Able to effectively address conflict. Able to develop and maintain a productive working relationship with Pastor, staff and parishioners.
