Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1900, the DeLaSalle community prays and educates in the Lasallian spirit.  Our diverse student population numbers 745 with students coming from across the Twin Cities area, as well as from international schools.  An AdvancEd accredited school, we offer a college preparatory curriculum and a wide range of student activities and sports.

The Admissions / Communications Associate will report to the Vice President for Advancement and will work with and for other Advancement officers as a key member of the office team.  The position will primarily be responsible in four areas:  creating effective relationships with external constituents, particularly prospective students and parents; public speaking and individual family follow-up; assisting communication and marketing efforts of the school; and support for admissions and development-related events.

Job Qualifications: DeLaSalle High School, a co-ed Catholic High School, grades 9-12, located on historic Nicollet Island in the heart of the City of Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an Admissions / Communications Associate to join our Advancement team. The ideal person is one with passion for Catholic, urban, college preparatory education, and supports our mission by demonstrating strong communication skills, an attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high levels of service to families and benefactors. The candidate must possess abilities in public speaking and writing. Spanish bi-lingual abilities are a plus. The candidate is one who is seeking to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families. Qualifications and Skills:  Bachelor’s Degree required;  Spanish bi-lingual abilities are a plus;  Strong attention to detail and organization;  Ability to handle multiple projects;  Curiosity and commitment to the legacy and the vision of DeLaSalle;  Strong interpersonal and communication skills as a writer and as a speaker;  Experience with Rediker or equivalent school data bases;  Demonstrated record as a self-starter, a creative and ethical thinker, and an action-oriented individual with a sense of urgency and passion for our mission;  Ability to be both collaborative and competitive  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; supporting Advancement efforts.
