Youth & Young Adult Ministry and Confirmation Coordinator

To provide leadership and coordination for the pastoral, spiritual, and catechetical development of youth, young adults, and their families; to provide opportunities for their full participation in all aspects of parish life; to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ and foster their personal and spiritual growth; to coordinate the sacramental preparation for Confirmation and for post-Confirmation catechesis.

Qualifications

1. Two years’ experience coordinating/leading youth ministry.
2. Retreat leadership experience preferred.
3. Minimum education: BA preferred or equivalent training in theology or youth ministry.
4. Possess computer word-processing skills.
5. Possess spelling and legible writing skills.
6. Possess extensive knowledge of the Roman Catholic history and tradition.
7. Possess education or training to delegate and empower others.
8. Possess a valid, current vehicle driver’s license.
9. Successfully complete standard Archdiocese background check, attend VIRTUS, and maintain compliance with VIRTUS requirements as mandated by the Archdiocese.
