Description
Churches of St. Michael & St. Mary in Stillwater, MN are seeking a Wedding Assistant to join our wedding team. This is a part-time, non-exempt, position.
Job Purpose
In coordination with the Pastor, Associate Pastor, Director of Music & Liturgy, and Wedding Coordinator, provide direction, guidance, and support for couples in preparation for and during the wedding rehearsal and ceremony at Churches of St. Michael & St. Mary (the Churches).

Representative Responsibilities

- Wedding Assistance
- Assist with planning for the wedding ceremony.
- Assist with leading wedding rehearsal.
- Communicate with couple during the rehearsal and wedding
- Assist during the wedding; coordinate with priests and musicians providing direction to the couple, photographer, and other individuals to ensure a smooth wedding.

- Participate in staff meetings or other meetings as requested
- Additional duties as assigned by the priests or Director of Music & Liturgy
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in wedding assisting, whether paid or volunteer
- Ability to lead the participants in the execution of the rehearsal and ceremony.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements for couples to be married in the Catholic Church
- Active participant in their parish community.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn current computer system required.
- Ability to work independently in addressing the needs of couples; assessing their concerns; and making appropriate referrals to the priest or Director of Music & Liturgy.
