Description
The Upper School at Saint Agnes School is now accepting applications for a full-time History/Humanities Teacher beginning August 2026. The position’s primary duty is teaching students in grades 7-12 as a member of the History Department, though cross-departmental assignments are also possible. Daily duties include lesson planning and delivery, collaborating with colleagues, student supervision, communicating with parents, grading student work, and maintaining accurate records. Teachers are also expected to have a mindset of continuous improvement, particularly in their respective subject area(s) and in the integrated Catholic liberal arts pedagogy and philosophy.

Saint Agnes School seeks a highly motivated individual who is a practicing Catholic who can offer a daily and credible witness of his/her faith. Desired candidates also have a passion for educating and forming Christian youth in a classical, liberal arts environment, will possess a capacity for collaborating with other instructors, and have interest in engaging students via co-curricular activities as well. Important characteristics include building and maintaining positive working relationships with adolescents, a focus on student learning, preventative methods of classroom management, the ability to collaborate on a team with parents and colleagues, the ability to integrate some technology into instruction, and competence in the variety of subject areas taught. Saint Agnes seeks teachers who possess a love of learning, devotion to the school’s mission and philosophy, and a desire to support the intellectual and spiritual development of each student.
Qualifications
Practicing Catholic – preferred, but not required
Bachelor of Arts degree - required
Teaching License - recommended, but not required
Experience - preferred, but not required
Other Desired Qualifications:
Polished and effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans
Ability to manage well a classroom environment
Ability to relate well with students
Willingness to support and serve co-curricular programs
