Teacher Assistant

Chesterton Academy of the Twin Cities is seeking a part-time teacher assistant to join our team starting in the 2024-25 academic year. Teacher assistants would partner with the classroom teacher and together form a team responsible for the academic growth of all the students in their classroom. Teacher Assistants would learn the curriculum and are able to teach individual students or small groups of students as directed by the teacher.  Additional responsibilities include monitoring students during non-academic periods throughout the school day. Full-time options may also be available.

Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred, as well as experience in and passion for Catholic classical education.

The teacher assistant must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.

Teacher assistant should possess teaching ability, content excellence, classroom management, excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
