Second Grade Teacher

St. Therese Catholic School of Deephaven is seeking a Second Grade Teacher who is responsible for spreading joy and creating a positive learning environment where students grow cognitively, spiritually and emotionally. This is a full time, 10-month position with benefits.

• Maintain current licensure or be working toward Minnesota teacher certification.
• Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines.
• Establish and maintain a classroom climate that is conducive to learning.
• Prepare written lesson plans including learning goals, instructional methods and resource materials.
• Utilize technology and current research in instruction.
• Follow standards and use selected school wide curriculum, supplementing when necessary.
• Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction/resources accordingly.
• This position requires that the employee be a Catholic.
