Description
Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Elementary School is seeking a dedicated, organized, and faith-centered individual to serve as the full-time Administrative Assistant. This vital role supports the daily operations of the school office, serving as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is welcoming, highly organized, and capable of balancing a wide variety of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment. Qualifications
Serve as the primary point of contact for the school office: greet visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to emails with professionalism and warmth.
- Maintain accurate student records including attendance, health records, and emergency contact information.
- Coordinate communication between families, teachers, administration, and parish staff.
- Provide administrative support to the principal and staff, including scheduling appointments, managing school calendars, and preparing correspondence or reports.
- Support faculty with clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, and supply inventory.
- Assist in the coordination of school events, field trips, and volunteer efforts.
- Manage daily attendance and follow up on absences or late arrivals.
- Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive student and school information.
- Assist with front-desk duties during school arrival, dismissal, and emergency drills.
- Uphold and promote the Catholic identity and mission of the school in all interactions.
- *High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
- *Prior experience in an administrative or school office setting is strongly preferred.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills,Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic office equipment.
*Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
*Professional demeanor with a warm, welcoming personality.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Commitment to the values and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Additional Information:
- The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, aligned with the school calendar, only school days.
- Benefits available per Archdiocesan or diocesan policy (if applicable).
- Successful completion of background check and Safe Environment training will be required prior to employment.
Pay: 21.00 an hour
