Part-Time Spanish Teacher (Grades 3–8) | Ave Maria Academy

Do you love teaching Spanish and sharing your Catholic faith with students? Ave Maria Academy, located in Maple Grove, is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Spanish teacher to teach students in grades 3 through 8.

At Ave Maria Academy, we live our Catholic faith with joy and partner with families in the education and formation of their children. We’re looking for a teacher who will help students grow in confidence as they speak, read and write Spanish.

Position Details

• Grades 3 through 8
• Schedule 15 hours per week, Monday through Wednesday, with dedicated prep time included. The position carries no additional duties.
• Pay $22 to $25 per hour, depending on experience
• Curriculum A fully developed Spanish curriculum is ready to use
• Benefits A $250 reimbursable clothing allowance and a 25% tuition discount
• Shadow Days During your first days on the job, you’ll work alongside the current teacher to get to know the students, see what they’ve learned, and become familiar with classroom routines.
• Position start date Immediate start preferred

Qualifications and Qualities

• Practicing Catholic who joyfully lives the faith and is committed to bringing it into the classroom
• Strong Spanish language skills
• Warm, energetic approach to teaching Spanish that encourages students to participate and grow in confidence
• Experience working with elementary and middle school students preferred
• Comply with all Archdiocesan OPCY requirements through VIRTUS Online
