Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:
To embrace the parish mission and maintain a spirit of hospitality, excellence and confidentiality. Self-directed and organized in order to: handle the receptionist, secretarial and daily bookkeeping functions, maintain internal systems and procedures, filing systems, office records and communications (and improve as necessary), and to relate well to parishioners and staff in order to assist in the effective administration of the parish.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Defined in list of responsibilities available upon request (subject to change as needs arise)
- General office
- Weekly parish bulletin and digital communications
- Parish calendar/Coordinate rental of facilities
- PASC Bookkeeping (ParishSoft Family Suite and Accounting Database), coordinated with the parish finance system
Part time:20-30 hours/week;TBD.
Qualifications
An understanding of the concept and practice of hospitality and and professionalism; Computer proficiency; General knowledge of office routine and procedures; Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in completing tasks; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing projects and tasks; Excellent communication skills, including written, digital and face-to-face interaction; a sense of humor and willingness to learn and be adaptable to changing situations. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Related job experience and knowledge of Catholic Church practices, procedures, etc. is a plus.
