About the Opportunity
St. Jude of the Lake Catholic Church is seeking a Parish Business Administrator to provide leadership in financial, operational, and facilities management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring strong stewardship of parish resources, strategic alignment with the pastor’s vision, and effective support for ministry and mission. We will consider Full-Time or Part-Time (depending on the right candidate)
This is an exciting time for St. Jude of the Lake. The parish is poised to re-invigorate, re-engage, and plan for growth in service to the community. The administrator will join Father Johnson, Pastor and Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocesan Tribunal, and our new Principal, Ben Vasko (formerly of the Archdiocese), forming a collaborative leadership team with our excellent staff to build and revitalize God’s Church in Mahtomedi.
With an emphasis on strategic planning, accountability, and operational excellence, the administrator will help guide both the daily operations and long-term vitality of the parish.

What You’ll Do:
Financial Operations
- Provide strategic leadership in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Oversee parish facilities, maintenance, safety, and capital planning.
- Manage HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and performance accountability.
- Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring professionalism and mission alignment.
- Partner with the pastor, principal, and parish leadership councils to support decision-making with data-driven insight.
- Support stewardship initiatives and long-range parish planning.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Active, practicing Catholic in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in financial, operational, or facilities management (nonprofit or parish preferred).
- Strong financial acumen with proficiency in ParishSoft and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
