Description
Visitation School is seeking a full-time Montessori Pre-K Teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year.
We seek reflective, intentional educators who want to contribute to a progressive, integrated curriculum informed by Montessori pedagogy and principles.
Visitation is an independent Catholic day school with a culture permeated by Salesian Spirituality. We offer a unique combination of learning experiences with a coed Lower School (Montessori preschool through grade 5), an all-girls Middle School (grades 6-8), and an all-girls Upper School (grades 9-12). A member of NAIS and accredited by ISACS, we are located on a beautiful 60-acre campus in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guiding and executing curriculum
- Interact with students and encourage their involvement in activities
- Facilitating the learning process
- Ensuring the safety of students
- Maintain classroom management and supervise students
- Work with individual and small groups of children to support independence and learning
- Participates in individual student action plans, implementing activities and recording progress under the direction of the Guide
- Foster a nurturing and stimulating non-competitive environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Establish and maintain good communications with parents

- Possesses familiarity with the Minnesota Department of Human Services Rule 3.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree required
- American Montessori Society (AMS) or Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) teaching credentials are preferred
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each child
- Commitment to professional growth and best practices in education

Salary Range: $38,601 - $99,533 based on degree, teaching experience and the established salary grid.
