Fall of 2026 Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Second Grade (Maternity Leave)

Saint Raphael Catholic School in Crystal, Minnesota, seeks a long-term substitute teacher for Second Grade beginning in the 2026–2027 school year to cover a maternity leave of up to 16 weeks. Position Overview
The long-term substitute will assume full classroom responsibilities for a Second Grade classroom, including:

• Planning and delivering instruction aligned with our curriculum and mission
• Maintaining a structured, caring, and engaging classroom environment
• Assessing student progress and communicating with families
• Collaborating with colleagues, specialists, and administration
• Supporting the spiritual and moral development of students in keeping with Catholic teaching

Dates and Details

• Anticipated start: Fall 2026 (exact dates TBD)
• Duration: Up to 16 weeks
• Competitive daily or contract-based compensation depending on qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Minnesota teaching license preferred
• Experience with elementary age students strongly preferred
• Willingness to support and uphold the mission of Catholic education
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate positively with faculty and parents
