Long-term Substitute Teacher for Kindergarten

St. Odilia Catholic School is seeking a long-term substitute kindergarten teacher to cover a maternity leave and to temporarily join our wonderful faculty and staff for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. This position will begin in December, with the start date to be determined.

We are looking for a teacher who is excited to teach kindergarten, and someone who will continue to instill a love of learning and joy with our 5 and 6 year old students while also fostering a love for the faith.  The ideal candidate will have excellent classroom management and will help students to continue to grow socially and emotionally.  This new faculty member will be committed to advancing the mission of St. Odilia School by:

This person will work with our other two kindergarten teachers and a dedicated TA for this classroom, along with the rest of our faculty & staff.

• BA/BS degree or higher
• Current MN teaching license preferred
• Teaching experience or substitute teaching required
• Exhibit competence in instructional methods and knowledge of subject matter being taught
• Demonstrate evidence of good classroom management techniques
• Develop and maintain a positive rapport and relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Experience with technology in the classroom, SMARTBoard, iPad, Macbook
• Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with school, students, staff, and parents
