Description

As a ministry of the Church of St. Mark, we seek to live and share Christ's call to holiness. Our preschool works in partnership with families to inspire lifelong learning and to foster children's full potential by preparing them to be good and faithful stewards of God's gifts in their community.

We incorporate our Catholic identity in our daily lives through our interactions with students and staff, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, weekly visits from religious, and daily prayer.  Our licensed curriculum is designed for children ages 33 months to 5 years. 

We are seeking a loving, energetic, and compassionate individual to sub from April 7th-April 24th with opportunities to sub throughout the school year and summer as well. A few of the essential duties are mentioned below.

-Supervise a classroom, follow a lesson plan, give staff breaks, etc.

-Establish a positive relationship with each child and each child's family

-Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling

-Implement classroom rules and model age-appropriate conflict management

-Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety

-Light housekeeping chores

-Check classrooms to ensure Minnesota DCYF compliance

-Complete other tasks asked by the Director within reason

 

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age

Reliable transportation

Able to communicate with and build positive and professional relationships with administration, coworkers, students, and families.

Be excited to work with preschoolers.

Able to walk, squat, kneel, move around easily, and possibly lift up to 50 pounds

Able to pass a Minnesota DCYF Background Study

Able to complete CPR/First Aid certification, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Training, and other trainings as required by licensing.

Meet all of the Safe Environment requirements or be willing to complete them upon hire.

College Credits in education or experience in preschool is preferred

Be available from 10:00am-6:00pm April 7th-24th
