Full-time Second Grade Teacher/ 2024-2025 School Year

St. Dominic Catholic School is seeking a full-time, faith-filled, energetic Second Grade Teacher to join our wonderful staff family. Candidates are responsible for conducting instructional classes aligning with the Mission Statement, philosophy and curriculum of St. Dominic Catholic School, as well as Minnesota State Academic Standards in Literacy (Believe and Read/Groves--training and support provided), Math, Religion, Social Studies and Science.   Religion instruction includes preparation for students' first Confession and first Holy Communion.

We are an enthusiastic "Believe and Read" school and work closely with the Groves Literacy Program.  Experience working with the Groves Program/Groves Literacy coach or willingness to do so is essential.

Experienced candidates are preferred, but candidates new to the teaching profession are also encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree - BA or higher.
• Current Minnesota teaching licensure in area of employment.
• Competent in instructional methods and knowledge of subject matter being taught.
• Ability to maintain environment conducive to learning
• Work collaboratively with staff.
• Ability to demonstrate/willingness to learn technology skills as the position demands.
• Polished and professional.
