Description

Position Summary:   This position works collaboratively with the formation team to engage, evangelize, and disciple children, family, and youth of the St. Patrick Catholic Church Community.

Essential Functions of the Position:    Work collaboratively with the formation team under the direction of the Director of Formation to create and provide innovative opportunities for engagement of our community in an on-going discipleship process. This position co-creates and coordinates curriculum preparation, formation programs, retreats, small groups, events, and parish outreach to form leaders as well as disciples who can boldly share Christ with those around them.

  • As a practicing Roman Catholic, help to shape a vibrant, on-fire Catholic community by living the faith dynamically, pursuing daily prayer, participating in the community’s sacramental life, and serving others with an openness to the movement of the Holy Spirit.
  • In cooperation with the Director of Formation, develop and manage engaging programming for middle and high school students, to include evangelization, catechesis and discipleship opportunities and events.
  • In cooperation with the Director of Formation, create, develop, and present engaging programming for children and families, to include evangelization, catechesis and discipleship opportunities and events.
  • Oversee the Confirmation program; assess and manage all associated requirements.
  • Collaborate with Safe Environment coordinator to present and track Personal Safety Lessons for all age groups.
  • Research, create and manage programming to engage post Confirmation youth through relational ministry, ongoing catechesis and opportunities for fellowship and community involvement.
  • Manage appropriate sacramental record notifications and documentation.
  • Assist with evaluating, recruiting, training, and supporting adult and student volunteers, ensuring compliance with our mission and Archdiocesan and parish policies and procedures.
  • Administrative tasks utilizing Word, Excel, Outlook and Flocknote to create, track, manage and communicate information as needed.
  • Assist with development and execution of fundraising opportunities for youth.
  • Coordinate, manage, assist, train and lead groups attending Extreme Faith Camp, Steubenville and any other outside activities, camps and conferences.
  • Complete other projects as assigned by the Director of Formation, Pastor, and Business Administrator.

Country Fest Staff Liaison for areas assigned.  This includes assisting the chairperson(s) prior, during and after the event.

 

Qualifications

Job Qualifications: (Education and Experience):

 A missionary disciple with the resolve, enthusiasm, and confidence to develop a culture of evangelization and discipleship.

  • Able to interact well with and provide leadership for adults and youth, small and large groups.
  • Ability to vision, plan and execute events that provide on-going discipleship opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present enthusiastic and dynamic interactions.
  • Ability to plan and organize to meet deadlines.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of specialized education is helpful but not required.

Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

 Exhibit strong knowledge of the Catholic faith and a willingness to always learn more.

  • Active and participating Roman Catholic in adherence with Church teaching on faith, morals, and laws.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to actively engage in conversations, presentations and teaching opportunities which are foundational to a relational ministry model.
  • Flexibility in working day and evening hours; weekend work is also required. Camps and conferences will include overnights as well.
  • Ability to move between tasks to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Must be proficient in computer programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Compliance with background check and VIRTUS requirements.

Application Instructions

This position offers a salary starting at $50,000, with potential for higher compensation based on qualifications.  A comprehensive benefits package is included, featuring medical and dental insurance, a 403(b)-retirement plan, paid time off, and a range of elective benefits selected by employee.
