About the Opportunity
St. Michael Catholic School is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Food Service Specialist to support our daily school meal program. This part-time position plays a key role in ensuring students are served meals efficiently and safely in a friendly, faith-based environment. This position works closely with staff and volunteers to deliver nutritious meals and maintain a clean and welcoming food service space.

What You’ll Do
- Receive and organize food deliveries from vendors
- Distribute, scan, and serve student meals promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with volunteers to ensure efficient meal service
- Support cleanup efforts after breakfast and lunch
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards throughout service areas
- Communicate with students in a positive, respectful manner
- Assist with meal tracking using technology systems
- Model professional conduct and maintain confidentiality
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday, Friday: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
- In-person, school-year position

Qualifications
Required:
- Age 18 or older
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort using technology (email, meal tracking systems)
Preferred:
- Experience working in a school or food service environment
- Familiarity with food safety standards/ServSafe Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification (can be obtained after hiring)
- VIRTUS/E3 Certification (can be completed after hiring)
