Description

About the Role

Good Shepherd Catholic Church & School is seeking a faith-filled and mission-driven leader to serve as our Director of Stewardship and Parish Life. This individual will work closely with the pastor and Director of Operations to guide our parish and school in embracing stewardship not as a program, but as a way of life rooted in prayer, participation, and generosity. The director will also foster vibrant parish life by coordinating opportunities for engagement, hospitality, and discipleship across all ministries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for all aspects of parish stewardship and parish life engagement.
  • Collaborate with the pastor and parish leadership to integrate stewardship into the mission, vision, and ministries of Good Shepherd.
  • Form and develop a Stewardship Committee to help educate, inspire, and support parishioners in living stewardship as a way of life.
  • Communicate and promote stewardship values through parish bulletins, newsletters, ministry leader engagement, and parish-wide events.
  • Coordinate parish-wide hospitality opportunities, such as Ministry Fairs, Volunteer Appreciation events, and community-building activities.
  • Direct and oversee all stewardship, fundraising, and development activities, ensuring alignment with the USCCB pastoral letter Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response.
  • Organize and implement the Annual Stewardship Renewal campaign to inspire prayer, deepen discipleship, increase ministry participation, and meet financial goals.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, and ministry leaders through gratitude, communication, and engagement.
  • Support financial development initiatives including capital campaigns, planned giving, and parish endowments.
  • Maintain parish database with Director of Operations and Office Coordinator, produce ministry opportunity listings, and ensure timely volunteer engagement and appreciation.
  • Represent Good Shepherd in Archdiocesan stewardship events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Practicing Catholic with a deep commitment to stewardship as a way of life.
  • Bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry, nonprofit management, communications, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in stewardship, fundraising, parish ministry, or community engagement.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with clergy, staff, ministry leaders, and parishioners.
  • Knowledge of Catholic teaching on stewardship and parish ministry best practices.
