Current Position Information
Job Title: Director of Recruiting Department: Recruiting
Reports to: CMO FLSA Status: Exempt (salaried)
Position Type: Full-time 40 hrs/week Location: West St. Paul, MN
Summary of Position
The Director of Recruiting leads NET Ministries' efforts to attract and recruit young adults to serve as NET Missionaries. This role is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies, building relationships with key ministry partners, overseeing the recruiting team, and ensuring that the recruitment process aligns with NET’s mission of evangelization and discipleship.
Essential Functions
Strategic Leadership of Recruiting Efforts
● Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy to identify, attract, and retain young adults for NET teams.
● Work with the leadership team to set and evaluate recruiting goals and metrics to ensure effectiveness and mission alignment.
● Oversee the planning and execution of recruitment events, outreach opportunities, and promotional efforts.
● Foster departmental collaboration, particularly with Marketing, Alumni, and the Regional Directors, to enhance efforts.
Relationship Development and Outreach
● Help build and maintain partnerships with Catholic colleges, universities, high schools, dioceses, and ministry organizations to create strong recruiting pipelines.
● Work closely with NET alumni, youth ministers, campus ministers, vocation directors, and other key influencers to expand NET’s reach.
● Represent NET Ministries at key conferences, ministry gatherings, and Catholic events to promote the mission and recruit potential missionaries.
Oversight of Recruiting Team
● Directly supervise the Recruiting Coordinator, providing leadership, mentoring, and professional development.
● Oversee and support the work of the recruiting team in prospect engagement, application processing, and candidate interviews.
● Provide training and guidance to recruiters to ensure consistency and effectiveness in outreach and candidate engagement.
Candidate Cultivation and Selection
● Ensure recruiting provides a high-touch, mission-focused experience for applicants.
● Oversee the interview and selection process to ensure candidates align with NET’s spiritual and ministry expectations.
● Monitor applicant discernment process and recommend improvements.
Department Administration and Budgeting
● Manage the recruiting department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
● Oversee and approve recruiting materials, campaigns, and communication strategies.
● Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of recruiting efforts, trends, and conversion rates.
Mission and Staff Engagement
● Participate in NET Team Training and Staff Formation activities.
● Lead staff prayer and faith formation initiatives as needed.
● Collaborate with international NET offices on recruitment initiatives when applicable.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
● Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church, with a strong personal commitment to evangelization and discipleship.
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Theology, or a related field.
● 3+ years of experience in recruiting, ministry leadership, or related field.
● Experience serving on a NET team or equivalent Catholic ministry experience.
● Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
● Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with CRM tools.
● Willingness and ability to travel frequently for recruiting events.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience managing a team and overseeing recruitment strategies.
● Background in sales, marketing, or public relations.
● Established relationships with Catholic dioceses, universities, or ministry organizations.
