The Director of Admissions serves as the chief ambassador for DeLaSalle High School to prospective students and families, leading all aspects of enrollment management from inquiry through matriculation. Rooted in the Lasallian Catholic mission of DeLaSalle, the Director of Admissions develops and executes a strategic, data-informed admissions plan that advances enrollment goals, strengthens visibility, and fosters meaningful relationships with families across diverse communities.

This role blends strategy, relationship-building, and operational leadership, working closely with Advancement, Marketing & Communications, Academics, and Student Life to ensure a cohesive and compelling enrollment experience.

Mission & Ethical Expectations:

Employees of DeLaSalle High School are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the Lasallian charism. While the position does not require the employee to be Catholic, all employees must respect Catholic doctrine and practices and act in ways that do not bring scandal or discredit to the Church or the School. Reasonable accommodations will be made for employees of other faith traditions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Enrollment Leadership

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive admissions and enrollment strategy aligned with institutional priorities and multi-year enrollment targets.
  • Analyze admissions funnel data (inquiries, applicants, admits, yield, retention) to guide decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast enrollment, monitor attrition, and support retention initiatives.

Admissions Operations & Outreach

  • Serve as a primary spokesperson for DeLaSalle High School to prospective students, parents, feeder schools, parishes, and community partners.
  • Oversee all admissions events including Open Houses, Islander for a Day visits, Entrance/Mastery Exams, tours, registration, and enrollment orientation.
  • Manage the prospective student visit and shadow program, including coordination of student ambassadors and follow-up communication.
  • Lead personalized outreach and direct-communication campaigns to prospective families.

Collaboration & Community Engagement

  • Partner with the Executive Director of Advancement, Marketing & Communications, and school leadership to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Collaborate with faculty, coaches, and program leaders to highlight academic, co-curricular, and student-life strengths in recruitment efforts.
  • Support Advancement Office initiatives and major events including Summer Bridging Academy, Alumni Weekend, Homecoming, Gala, and community outreach programs.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and support admissions staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear workflows, timelines, and performance expectations for admissions operations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Advancement or President in support of institutional priorities.

The responsibilities listed above describe the general nature and level of work performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3–7 years of experience in middle or high school admissions, enrollment management, sales, recruitment, or a related relationship-driven field.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding enrollment, recruitment, or revenue-generation goals.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading an admissions, recruitment, or sales-oriented team preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Comfort working with diverse populations and a commitment to inclusion and access.
