The Communications and Digital Marketing Manager plays a key role in engaging and mobilizing the Catholic community in Minnesota to advance public policies that promote human dignity and the common good. This position is responsible for producing and managing digital and physical communications that inspire Catholics to contact their legislators and broaden awareness of the Church’s advocacy work.

  • Digital Storytelling & Creative Production – Capture, edit, and distribute compelling content (photography, videography, graphic design) that showcases the advocacy of MCC staff, bishops, and Catholic Advocacy Network members.
  • Website Management – Write, edit, and design engaging content for the MCC website; ensure SEO best practices; oversee general maintenance and updates.
  • Email Marketing & Automation – Manage MCC’s Nation Builder email platform; create targeted campaigns to engage Catholic Advocacy Network members; drive participation in legislative advocacy.
  • Social Media Strategy – Develop and implement creative strategies for Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms to increase engagement, storytelling, and brand awareness.
  • Collaboration & Outreach – Work with diocesan communicators and MCC staff to amplify initiatives among clergy, parishes, schools, and Catholic organizations.
  • Message Consistency & Support – Ensure MCC’s communications align across all channels, supporting advocacy and lobbying efforts with clear, mission-rooted messaging.
  • Media Relations – Engage Catholic and secular media as necessary to tell the story about the work of MCC through drafting op-eds, letters to the editor, and responses to media inquiries.

Job requirements include: A bachelor’s degree in communications or related field; a minimum of two years relevant experience; strong writing skills; and an evangelical and entrepreneurial spirit. Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and a commitment to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
