Description

St. Odilia School is seeking a new Assistant Principal to join our leadership team beginning in July 2026. At St. Odilia, we joyfully educate over 700 students from PreK-grade 8 each day. We believe in educating the whole child: spiritually, academically, emotionally, socially, and physically. Our team works diligently to help each child develop a clear Catholic identity, an understanding of the Gospel's call to service, and an appreciation for the larger community. Our faculty, staff, and curriculum promote a love of learning and a respect for self and others.

 

The Assistant Principal acts as the right-hand supporter, confidant, and collaborator with the School Principal. This individual will work closely with the School Principal to assist in the daily administration and operational management of the school. The Assistant Principal provides support to teachers and students in immediate matters. This person is also responsible for fostering and supporting a positive, joyful, and safe school culture. The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in providing educational and religious leadership by administering and supervising the educational program at St. Odilia School, promoting the development of a Catholic faith community and the educational and spiritual development of each student and teacher.

Qualifications

  1. MA/MS degree with a desire to obtain principal license in administration
  2. Current Minnesota teaching license
  3. Teaching experience
  4. Administrative Experience Preferred
  5. Faithful, practicing Catholic with a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education
  6. Management style that follows Catholic teachings and encourages mutual respect, collaboration, communication, and cooperation
  7. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a fast-paced school environment.
  8. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with educators, parents, and students
  9. Possesses a spirit of innovation, creativity, and problem-solving
  10. Excellent speaking and writing skills
  11. Maintains confidentiality
  12. Pass a background check and the successful completion of the Essential 3
