Position Overview: 

  • Schedule: 30 hours per week (School days only)

  • Compensation: Salary per working agreement

  • Location: Saint John's of Little Canada

Role Summary The Administrative Assistant plays a vital dual role in supporting day-to-day school operations and leading institutional advancement. Key responsibilities include managing the school cafeteria software and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that enhance the visibility and impact of the school's mission.

This position is responsible for producing compelling digital and print content, driving community engagement, and providing strategic direction and oversight for all marketing and communication initiatives across Saint John's of Little Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Software Management: Oversee and maintain daily operations within the school cafeteria software system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient service delivery.

  • Strategic Marketing & Communications: Design and execute integrated digital and print communication campaigns that elevate awareness of school activities, achievements, and core mission.

  • Content Creation & Engagement: Develop high-quality written, visual, and online content to effectively connect with current families, prospective students, and the broader community.

  • Brand Oversight: Direct and coordinate all institutional marketing and promotional efforts for Saint John's of Little Canada to maintain a cohesive voice and strong visual identity.

 

Qualifications

  • Practicing Catholic and ability to effectively articulate the values and mission of Saint John's of Little Canada
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to build effective relationships
  • Demonstrated design and communications experience
  • Prior experience in a similar role in a non-profit organization preferred
  • Solid understanding and skill in software programs required to perform duties, including the Adobe software suite, video and audio recording, and Canva
  • Ability to maintain clear, accurate records and prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Highly self-directed with an attention to detail and ability to organize effectively
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a complex environment and make timely decisions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Reasonable knowledge of Roman Catholic doctrine, practices, procedures, etc.
  • Completed background check and VIRTUS training
