Piano Accompanist

Provide an environment that supports and encourages people to continue the work of Christ through music accompaniment for Sunday Eucharist, the source and summit of our lives as Roman Catholics and the core event of our parish life. Be part of a vibrant parish music ministry team that includes 2 adult choirs, a youth choir, and a Bell Choir.

• Serve as accompanist for Sunday 8:30 am Mass during the program year – September through May (Pentecost). Summer schedule has flexibility; in rotation with other accompanists.
• Rehearse with cantor or choir prior to assigned liturgies.
• Serve as accompanist for weekly Wednesday evening choir rehearsals September - May and at additional rehearsals as needed.
• Serve as accompanist for holyday and special parish liturgies, such as, but not limited to, Christmas, Holy Week, Stations of the Cross, and Easter, as scheduled.
• Serve occasionally as accompanist at other weekend Masses, as scheduled.
• Serve as accompanist for special liturgy rehearsals, as scheduled.
• Occasionally assist Music Directors with sectional rehearsals.
• Serve as accompanist for several funerals a year.
• Serve as accompanist for biennial December performance with additional rehearsals. Additional remuneration for rehearsals and performance.
• Optional opportunity to serve as accompanist for youth choir for additional remuneration.

• Minimum of three years' experience in liturgical music
• Competency in accompanying on piano
• Flexibility and comfort with multiple styles of liturgical music
• Ability to work collaboratively with other musicians
• Strong faith and love of all styles of liturgical music.
