Description

St. Charles School is seeking a faith-filled candidate ready to teach 4th grade at an excellent Catholic School from April 17, 2026 until the end of the school year.

This teacher will work with our dynamic and talented elementary school team, who partner with parents in bringing out the best in our students. At St. Charles, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who strive for excellence in faith, virtue, service, and academics. We have been delivering on that mission reliably since 1939, generation after generation. We’re a two-homeroom per grade level, preschool-8th grade institution dedicated to our vocation as Catholic educators. Our 4th grade long term sub will:

  • Provide an engaging learning environment where students understand and meet expectations
  • Maintain high academic standards while challenging each student to always do their best
  • Instill strong character, Catholic values, and a love for learning
  • Work with students who have IEPs or need accommodations to reach their full potential
  • Be committed to continually developing skills and improving as a teacher
  • Partner with our parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each student
  • Honor and support school initiatives, administrative decisions, the vision of our archdiocese, and the Catholic Church
  • Participate as a member of the faculty team in professional development, committee responsibilities, and school initiatives 
  • Design engaging lessons that support and enhance our curriculum
  • Form assessments that are meaningful and will demonstrate the student’s level of mastery
  • Take pride in their job as a Catholic school teacher

Qualifications

  • A minimum BA or BS Degree (Educational degree preferred)
  • Exhibit competence in instructional methods and subject-matter knowledge.
  • A practicing Catholic, passionate about his or her faith
  • Commitment to the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students.
  • Demonstrate evidence of strong and effective classroom management techniques, specifically with middle school students.
  • Desire to work within a team and ability to maintain a positive atmosphere with colleagues.
