3rd grade teacher

Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic School in Belle Plaine is seeking a third grade classroom teacher who is a strong educator, has lots of creative learning, and is dedicated to excellence and continued growth.

Our Lady of the Prairie is a small, fun-filled PreK through sixth grade school.  Everyone knows everyone. We are beginning a new outdoor classroom opportunity where God’s creation becomes the classroom.  Our teachers are dedicated to teaching to the whole student, emotionally, academically, socially, and spiritually. We are a Believe and Read School and offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd as part of our Religion curriculum.

• Is a practicing Catholic
• Is a licensed elementary teacher
• Is able to demonstrate strong classroom management and relationship building techniques.
• Is eager to be part of a team, working hard to achieve excellent outcomes for students.
• Is able to fulfill the Virtus Essential 3 requirements and pass a background check.
• Is able to utilize technology and current research in instruction
• Is able to follow standards and use selected school wide curriculum, supplementing when necessary.
• Is able to monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction/resources accordingly.
