Welcomed to the Archdiocese by Archbishop Hebda in 2022,
Eden Invitation is a communal movement for Catholics and Christians with LGBTQ+ experiences. We believe abundant life in Christ is possible for people with LGBTQ+ experiences– we can thrive in fidelity to the Church’s wisdom about sexuality and the human person. We strive to create a space where someone can receive their whole person (the beauty and the mess), grow friendships of mutual support, and be empowered to live creative discipleship, however God is inviting them to love and serve over the course of their lifetime.
When an adult reaches out to Eden Invitation through the website, we offer them a welcoming “story call” to share their life experiences with one of our trained community members. We offer a number of English-language programs, including a vibrant online forum, book studies, local chapters (“Hearth Groups”), and retreats. Members connect from across the United States and, increasingly, around the world.
Founded originally in Milwaukee, WI in 2017, Eden Invitation now runs a small in-person office headquartered in St. Paul, MN.
