Part-time K-5th grade Art Teacher

St. Timothy's Catholic School in Maple Lake, Minnesota is now accepting applications for a part-time Kindergarten-5th grade Art Teacher for the 2026-27 school year.   We are a vibrant, joyful Catholic School with approximately 150 students.  Our Catholic mission permeates everything we do. We are looking for a joyful, knowledgeable Artist who understands the formative needs of young art students.  He/she should be able to appreciate the relationship between Church teachings on aesthetics and the inspiration of students to create works of beauty and individuality. The position is for 12 hours a week or a .3 FTE. 

The candidate should be able to instruct students in a variety of mediums, including those used in drawing, water color and acrylic painting  (use of great master studies at some point). We are open to works in other mediums, such as clay.  Students should learn the elements of design and color theory and should be able to look at and appreciate great art.

Experience in teaching (classroom, studio or otherwise) is preferred as well as an understanding of a traditional, liberal arts curricular philosophy. Ability to contribute to the overall mission of the school and collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and most especially, students is a great part of the job.
