Full-Time Custodian/Groundskeeper

This Custodian position has a special focus on groundskeeping; the individual in this position will maintain the outside grounds of AHA.  Additionally, this position will have the primary responsibility of cleaning the StarDome athletic fields and the building.  This groundskeeping work involves snow and ice removal, lawn care, weed control, hedge trimming, and other tasks necessary to maintain a safe and well-maintained campus.  This position also requires interior cleaning, setting up and taking down events, and performing maintenance work. 

This is a union position working a Tuesday-Saturday schedule. 

Hourly wage = $26.30; Saturday wage differential of $3.70 p/hr

• Experience with snow removal equipment (e.g., snow blower, sweeper, truck plow) preferred
• Previous custodian and groundskeeping experience preferred 
• Good communication skills and a working knowledge of email and smartphone use
• Able to work independently
• Ability to work in hot and cold weather outside for extended periods
• Ability to climb a ladder, kneel/bend/lift up to 70 lbs without restrictions
• Boiler's license - not required, but pays an additional per-hour stipend
• Flexibility in work schedule 
• Satisfactory completion of a background check
