Science Teacher

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is looking for a Middle School Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

An ideal candidate will have demonstrated success teaching middle school science to students with varying abilities and will advance the mission of the school by:

• Making Christ known and loved to every student.
• Creating a safe, engaging learning environment with high expectations.
• Being current and competent in science instruction theories and pedagogy, including middle school science standards.
• Develop students' character based on virtues and personal integrity.
• Participate in workshops, staff development opportunities, and committee responsibilities as a community member.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an actively practicing Catholic.
• Licensed teacher for middle school with an endorsement in science.
• Support children's learning through developmentally appropriate educational practices, assessments, and hands-on experiences.
• Committed to academic excellence and a willingness to meet the educational needs of the individual student.
• Demonstrate the ability to support the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each student.
• Create a meaningful, functional and inviting learning environment.
• Utilize technology in the classroom for teaching and learning.
• Work in partnership with teachers, classroom assistants, specialists, and support staff.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, staff members, and the community.
• Demonstrate a commitment to on-going professional development.
• Model a professional, respectful, and positive attitude.
