Preschool Teacher

Sacred Heart School in Adams, Minnesota is seeking a full-time, faith-filled Preschool Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year as we launch a new preschool program for our youngest learners (ages 4–5). We are a joyful, close-knit rural Catholic school committed to forming students in mind, body and spirit through strong academics and the values of the Gospel.

This position is an opportunity to help shape the foundation of our preschool program while nurturing children in a caring, faith-centered environment.

Position Overview: 

The Preschool Teacher serves as both an educational and spiritual leader, responsible for creating a safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate classroom that fosters growth in faith, knowledge and character. This role includes planning and implementing instruction, supporting social-emotional development, and modeling Catholic values in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a classroom environment rooted in Catholic identity, respect and joyful learning
• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, engaging instruction aligned to early learning standards
• Support the spiritual, academic, social and emotional growth of each child
• Establish clear routines and positive behavior expectations
• Collaborate with school staff and communicate regularly with families
• Maintain a safe, organized and nurturing classroom environment
• Participate in school events, faith formation, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minnesota teaching license (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Experience in early childhood or elementary education preferred
• Practicing Catholic preferred; all candidates must support the mission of Catholic education
• Successful completion of background check and required training

Compensation: 

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits available in accordance with diocesan and school policies.
