Spanish Teacher (5th – 8th grade) 2026-2027 School year

Position: Part-Time Spanish Teacher
Location: Our Lady of the Lake, Mound MN
Start Date: August 2026

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time Spanish teacher to share the beauty and richness of the Spanish language with our 5th - 8th-grade students. As a Catholic institution, we are committed to fostering an environment that nurtures both academic excellence and the spiritual growth of our students.

Instructional Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement the Spanish curriculum for students from 5th - 8th grade, integrating Catholic values and teachings where appropriate.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, incorporating faith-based principles of service, compassion, and respect in lesson planning and delivery.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects in alignment with both academic and faith-based goals.
• Assess student progress regularly, using a variety of assessment tools, and provide timely progress reports to students, parents, and administration.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages a love of learning, while promoting Christian values such as kindness, respect, and understanding of cultural diversity.
• Incorporate prayer, reflection, and Catholic traditions into daily lessons and classroom activities when appropriate, helping students grow in their faith and connection with the Catholic Church.
• Collaborate with other faculty members and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to student development, both academically and spiritually.

Qualifications:
Fluent in the Spanish language
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
Minnesota teaching license - Preferred
Passion for and ability in sharing the Spanish language with students
Work effectively and collegially with others
