Job Description

1. Plan lively/passion-filled worship for Saturday evening/Sunday morning masses as well as Feast Days, Holy Days of Obligation, Holy Week

2. Develop and Direct Volunteer Adult and Children’s Choirs

3. Plan/arrange music for funerals and weddings

4. Schedule paid/volunteer cantors and other musicians as needed

5. Develop Worship Aids

6. Chair of the Liturgy Commission

7. Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Ideal candidate has:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Music and Liturgy
2. 5 or more years liturgical music director experience
3. Intimate Knowledge and Love of the Catholic Mass
4. Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines
5. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
6. Good people and communication skills
7. Ability to lead worship from guitar or piano
8. Ability to read and notate sheet music and chord charts
9. Technical sound equipment skills
10. Experience with budget-keeping/familiar with spreadsheets

Self-motivated, detail-oriented and a team player
