Job Description

Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church is hiring a bilingual receptionist/administrative assistant/coordinator of marriage preparation. This position will be responsible for: answering phones and directing calls to the proper people, maintaining calendars, creating correspondence and sacramental certificates, organizing and maintaining sacramental records, assisting the Business Administrator and Director of Faith Formation as needed.

Job Qualifications

2+ years of business office experience, with an emphasis on customer service
Must be able to speak and write effectively in Spanish and English
Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks in a calm and professional manner
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of MicroSoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Experience with MicroSoft Publisher and Archdiocesan applications (ParishSoft and ConnectNow Accounting) helpful
Be familiar with and respectful of Church teachings and doctrine
Strongly prefer a practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Church

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church was founded in 1931 by a small group of Mexican immigrants from the local community. Today our community continues to grow and thrive through the support of our parishioners. We are a bilingual church offering mass, confessions and Sacramental preparation in English and Spanish.
